Flavour: Strong liquorice fragrance with a sweet anise flavour.

Uses: Pairs well with fish and seafood. Popular spice in Italy, used in many cured sausages and traditional pork dishes. Used in breads and pickles, as well as in sauerkraut and pickled herring. The seeds are considered a digestive and believed to relieve asthma and bronchial disorders.
